Have just tried installing the package on a MacBook Pro (v10.11.1 OS) and receive feedback as follows:
"This package is incompatible with this version of OS X and may fail to install"
I cancelled the installation.... :(

I Googled and found that the message is due to the fast that the installer tries to install in /usr/
This is disallowed by default by MAC OSX v10.11. I have tried to change the settings of CPack in CMakeLists.txt in order to change the default installation directory of the DMG package, however I have been so far unsuccessful. For now, please just click on the button 'Change Install Location' when installing with the DMG and set another directory of your choice. It should work - it works on OSX 10.9.4, I don't have a way to test it on OSX v10.11. If it doesn't work, you can use the NiftyRec-2.3.2-Darwin-x86_64.tar.gz instead of the .dmg installer - the .dmg installer doesn't do anything more than copying the files in /usr/.
If you can figure out how to setup CPack to install e.g. to /Library/NiftyRec by default using the DMG installer, that would be great.

Best regards,
Stefano
