Unfortunately no luck yet. I loaded a standard Shepp-Logan 3D phantom(from http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/9416-3d-shepp-logan-phantom ) and tried again.

Same crash behaviour (segmentation violation). The crash log is identical to the one posted above.

Hi Chrysi,

Please try also et_demo_osem.
In the demo file there is an option 'phantom_type'; please set it to 1 or 2, as suggested in the comment, to let the demo generate the synthetic imaging data. This way we can be sure that the data is of the expected size for the demo.
If it still crashes, set the option 'GPU' to 0. If it crashes at this point, there must be a problem with the installation.
If it crasher only when the GPU is enabled, then perhaps there is a problem with the installation of the GPU.

Let me know.

Hi Stefano,

The good news is that et_demo_osem works!
The bad news: tt_demo_mlem still causes MATLAB to crash, and the transmission tomography tools is actually what I wanted to use...

Thanks anyway, I think I will look further for another solution.

Hi Crhrysi,

What was the problem with et_demo_osem ?
Did you disable the GPU?
Mind that tt_demo_mlem_conebeam only works if you have a Cuda compatible GPU.

Hi Stefano,

As I said, there was no problem with et_demo_osem, it worked fine.

Reading your remark above I now understand why tt_demo_mlem_conebeam (or.._parallel) didn't work, it is because I don't have CUDA.

So that solves my question! Pity about the tt_mlem implementation.
Thanks for all your time.
