Thanks to my involvement using the US Marine Corps, it is safe to say that I know a thing or two about exercising... but allow me to disclaim this right here: The strategy I'll outline below had a job with me, my fiancee and my squad mates and friends in the Marine Corps, however they MAY NOT work for you. You'll have to put them to the test for yourself. Let's begin:

1) Avoid ultra-processed foods. This is a big factor in weight retention, even if you are exercising. Some notable examples are poker chips (usually deep fried and packaged), just about all types of pre-packaged sweets, and snack cakes. Honestly, they're JAM PACKED with preservatives and trans-fats. If you are going to eat sweets, Make sure they are YOURSELF. But be conscious and limiting - several cookies per week is fine, just a few an hour or so, isn't.

2) When you exercise, focus on intense temporary workouts. Here is what what this means is - advertising media are mile after mile per day, and THAT is your only workout, you are shorting yourself tremendously. The body burns more fat when it is shocked - within the Marines we all do a "Sing song" workout, where for 10 minutes at a time, we perform Pushups, Running in position, Crunches, Jumping Jacks, after which Running in place again.
