What's My IQ? Tests Your Intellect
For fans of gaming who like to test the most recent mobile apps, there is a new game that tests your ability to consider on your feet. What's My IQ? is a mobile app that challenges your ability to resolve questions, along with your overall reading comprehension. The floor rules with this game are fairly obvious. For each question, you obtain points based on how fast you give the correct answer and how many tries it requires you to get it right.
Most people that will get frustrated with this game think it's either too hard or otherwise fun at all. Instead of trying to overcome the obstacles that are presented before them, they opt to quit the game and move on to some other app like 100 Doors or Amazing Breaker simply because they were either bored or didn't think the game was enjoyable.
Unfortunately, that is the majority opinion of people who play this game. However, what is encouraging is the fact that more people are fighting through those obstacles and using the mobile app in an effort to increase their critical thinking skills and wrap their brains around what each question is asking, rather than the emotion of not knowing the answer or guessing incorrectly.
Initially, the developers of What's My IQ? released a total of 101 questions that were sorted into sub-sections, called "Checklists". As the game continues to gain momentum within the iTunes App Store, as well as favorable reviews online, fans from the game have begun to speculate how they'll move the game forward.
A few of the questions being raised on message boards are:
- Can they continue the series of questions from #101?
- Will they create new episodes or checkpoint themes?
- Will the developers branch out and cover new territory?
- Is What's My IQ? going to be the proverbial one-trick pony by simply asking the same types of questions in its current format?
There is no denying this game has an educational component that is a superb tool to help teenagers learn new critical thinking skills. Exactly what is a great tool for the younger generation is also a double-edged sword for seniors, as we wrestle using the fact that we should know these answers, but don't.
If you are looking for a new mobile app to test your intellect, as opposed to shooting things or action-adventure type games, I highly recommend you allow What's My IQ? an attempt.
